1. Core Banking Infrastructure Administrator will be supporting critical systems providing operational systems, software and application support.
2. Providing technical support 24x7 for Equation with specific focus on End of Day issues.
3. Technical Support for Equation Interfaces to include PowerCard, OPICs, MMM, Trade Innovation in Production & Test.
4. Administer Equation units ((Development, Test & Production); carry out Equation upgrades, liaison with Misys for reporting various issues and patching the system.
5. Deployment of releases arising from change requests to all applicable environments.
6. Supporting VISA and MasterCard file exchanges and installation of mandates.
7. Required to provide out of hours support 24x7 for production related issues and be on call.
8. Perform daily monitoring and management of the Core Banking Infrastructure.
9. Monitor backup jobs, execute restore jobs, troubleshoot failed jobs, and initiate corrective action.
10. Perform diagnosis, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of existing environment and solutions currently installed within the Bank's infrastructure; provide technical expertise to resolve escalated issues; maintain archives in accordance with Banks policy and procedures; perform planning, testing, implementing and deploying new products and maintaining existing solutions, e.g., upgrading and patching.
11. Create and update documentation and procedures for all key systems ensuring these are kept upto date post any systems changes.
12. Provide periodic, informal, on-site knowledge transfer, as needed to other group members and to designated employees covering the management, normal operation, and maintenance of the core infrastructure.
13. Ensure governance of the Service Management Process, Incident, Problem and Change and Release Management processes and procedures across a complex Infrastructure & Application environment.
14. Ensure Incident control, coordination and communication occurs across major incidents.
15. Summarise complex issues into concise business summaries for senior management and enterprise stakeholders.
16. Work to ensure timely service restoration and problem resolution of complex and/or high impact incidents and minimise the adverse impact of incidents and problems.
17. Ensure Incident Reports are produced, communicated and follow up actions are managed as part of Service Improvement plans.
Desired Candidate Profile
1. 10+ years IBM Power Systems experience, x86 Infrastructure experience with AIX/System i, AS400
2. Strong working knowledge of System development tools to such, PowerBuilder, ASP.net, Clipper 5.x, COBOL, C-C++ languages.
3. Development skills using CL400 to automate / control operational tasks and FTP/DOS scripts for file exchanges.
4. Working knowledge of MIMIX application for replication and recovery.
5. Strong working knowledge of the Windows Operating System and familiarity with SQL databases.
6. Strong proven troubleshooting abilities in a large scale operational environment.
7. Able to communicate effectively in person, in writing and over the telephone
8. Ability to mentor team members and project developers including project planning.
9. Experience in complex business production critical environments.
10. Experience & Knowledge of managing incidents and change in complex high availability infrastructure environments Physical/Virtualized, HP/Microsoft/EMC/Unix/Oracle/SQL) based environments would be highly advantageous.

13. ITIL foundation certification highly desirable
