Our Client is an engineering installation service group within the Oil and Gas – Digital Solutions provider business

The System and Instrumentation Engineer is sought to perform installation, commissioning and troubleshooting on Systems Hardware and Software at customer’s sites.
The System and Instrumentation Engineer provides direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Job Responsibilities:
· Install and configure the hardware and software required for protecting and monitoring variety of machine types encountered in the Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Petrochemicals, Pulp and Paper, and other process industries.
· Ensure services jobs are executed in accordance with the cost allocations budgeted.
· Ensure services jobs are executed in a timely manner and in accordance with customer’s schedules.
· Understand and Adhere to jobs contractual commitments and Comply to company Safety, Quality and Integrity norms.
· Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment
· Plan, prepare and/or instruct both internal and external training programs as required, to impart and perpetuate field engineering and/or product knowledge in area of specialization
· Perform administrative functions; such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet and expense sheets on a complete timely, and thorough basis
· Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites
· Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Engineering degree from an accredited college or university (Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering background.)
Must have at least 3+ years of post-qualification experience working in Oil and Gas instrumentation
· Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel.
· Ability to work under stressful working conditions.
· Good Knowledge of Networking: Hardware and Protocols.
· Good knowledge of Modbus, OPC, NetDDE and serial communications protocols (RS,,).
· Good knowledge on Electronics and/or Mechanical troubleshooting skills. Hands-on approach.

ELIGIBILITY :
· Readiness to Travel on jobs as required by business and Ability to work on onshore and offshore platforms.
· Must have a valid drivers license
· Strong customer service mindset
· Prior field engineering experience is preferred
· Strong organizational skills
· Prior project management experience is preferred
· Strong project management skills
