Job Summary:
The project engineer position is a challenging role and site based in one of the Jacobs Projects (MODON) within the Buildings & Infrastructure industry and is based in Hail, Saudi Arabia. Duties and responsibilities:
Provides oversight of contractor site team and is responsible for monitoring performed work.
Conducts weekly meetings with contractor project management team and publishes daily-report detailing project status, site conditions, available manpower, and equipment.
Monitors contractor QA/QC activities and maintainsrecords.
Ensures responses to contractor technical queries are complete and in compliance with the contract documents.
Assists project management team with identifying and resolving project issues.
Reports to project management team project issues impacting schedule and assists in resolving.
Reviews contractIFC plans for design error and reports back to project management team with recommendations to resolve.
Assists project management team in all aspects of final acceptance of the work including preparing punch list and follow up, review of as-built drawings and follow-up of remedial work for project close-out.
Oversee & maintain safe work practices on construction projects that could identify, eliminate and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage using job specific safety standards, best management practices and injury free environment techniques advocated to JACOBS Beyond ZERO policy.
Educate, advise & communicate any/all issues with/between colleagues, project staff and/or contractor while implementing corrective action that will help build productive working relationships with all in accordance with guidelines and policies.
,Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (Engineering, Architectural, Professional Qualifications or Equivalent)
8 years of experience in Buildings & Infrastructure
Experience in a similar role preferably on large scale industrial & building projects in Saudi Arabia and/or GCC countries
CMU block work
Structural and Architectural metal works
Roof insulation
Metal windows and doors
Architectural finishes
Specialty Items including bathroom accessories
Mechanical and electrical installations
Ability to keep good records
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – Arabic speaker is desirable
Demonstrated efficient time management and ability to work to fixed deadlines
