Logistics Manager

Your role:

• Plan and monitor site logistics plans for a large-scale project;
• Phase-wise planning and monitoring of internal and external logistics routes for every project focusing on separation of vehicles, machinery and people; traffic management; lay down areas and offloading points
• Effective pre-planning of key plant & machinery to ensure specific needs of the program are met
• Understand procurement strategies and integrate with key contractors to meet needs of the planned programme, and de-confliction of on-site space and time where appropriate 
• Provide updated logistics instructions to all project suppliers and contractors
• Plan and maximize load capacity on all vehicles arriving at site were possible; ensure suppliers use appropriate vehicles for delivery
• Variation control and early communication of foreseeable changes to project team
• Create standard procedures, method statements and tracking templates for effective monitoring 
• Basic understanding of commercial/contract clauses 
• Create, maintain and update the site evacuation plan, life safety plan and site waste management plan

• Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanics.
• Sound basic knowledge of construction supplies and equipment.
• Engage with engineering professionals and specialists to develop integrated logistics plan
• Ability to visualize constraints and develop innovative solutions to exceptional site conditions
• Must have experience working in the outdoor industry.
• Must have backpacking and outdoor living experience and minimal rock climbing and sailing experience.
• Must have the ability to work well under pressure and be well organized to manage people and be a team player.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain good working relationships with clients, employees, and industry professionals.
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills and be able to articulate thoughts and ideas to others.
• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of files and other documents.
• Must have a demonstrated record of good work attendance and reliability.
• Must be flexible in work habits and work schedule.
• Must have adjustment skills and decision making skills considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
• Ability to absorb and synthesize a broad range of information.

Your profile:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Actual Work as Logistics Manager in High-Rise Buildings/ Tower projects;
• Expert specifically on such projects – not less than 300 meters high;
• Basic First Aid certification.
• Excellent computer skills especially Microsoft office application and ERP.
• Understanding of Supply Chain Management, particularly procurement;
• Pleasant personality.
• Experienced with MS Office related software;
• You are fluent in written and spoken English, any additional language is an advantage;
